Man sought after Mayfair 7-Eleven heist

An unidentified gunman robbed a convenience store in Mayfair on June 9. The heist occurred at 7-Eleven, 3301 Tyson Ave., shortly before 1 a.m.

A heavyset man walked around the store for a bit before pulling a gun from his ankle area, pointing it at a clerk and demanding money and cigarettes. He fled with an undisclosed amount of cash and smokes in a plastic bag. He was last seen on foot westbound toward Rowland Avenue.

The robber was described as black, 30 years old, about 235 pounds, with a beard, a mustache, a black baseball cap, black hoodie with checkers, blue jeans, white sneakers and glasses featuring thick black rims.
